Midwest Foundation Corporation was first located at 508 E. Pearl Street in Tremont, Illinois. After 12 years of growth we required more space so the company relocated to 616 S. Ricketts Avenue in Bartonville, Illinois where it remained for several years. When the opportunity arose, we moved back to our "hometown" of Tremont to our present address. We currently maintain a material yard near Mackinaw, Illinois but our primary operational facility is in Lacon, Illinois where we have a dock with access to the Illinois River. Lacon serves as our primary storage yard, warehouse, and maintenance shop.

Midwest's first major expansion from pile driving came in the late 1970's with the construction of the substructure for the McCluggage Bridge over the Illinois River at Peoria, Illinois. Following that project we constructed a series of interstate overpasses and county bridges before a slowdown of construction in general during the early 1980's. At that time, state work was flourishing in Texas and we began securing contracts in that state and continue to work there at the present time. We have completed numerous projects from Lake Worth to Corpus Christi.

In the mid 1980's we received our first major Corps of Engineers contract for the rehabilitation of the lock on the Illinois River at Peoria, Illinois. Since that time we have been consistently active with Lock Rehabilitations, primarily on the Mississippi River.

Midwest has always placed great emphasis on the value of its work force. This appreciation and respect for the employees has resulted in a very low turnover rate among individuals employed in permanent positions. Every member of the organization takes active participation in projects from the bidding through the planning, execution and closeout. Continuing education is encouraged and supported. Seminars and trade shows are attended regularly.
